Physical map of Missouri

The state of Missouri is located in the southern central regions of the United States, just south of Iowa, and north of Arkansas. The Missouri river marks the eastern border of the state, which is joined by the Missouri river which flows through the central regions of the state.
The northern part of the state is more or less flat, also called the Northern Plains. There are some elevations in the southern parts, namely the Ozark Plateau on the southwest, and the Saint Francois Mountains in the southeast corners.
